Our Amazing Moon.

Our moon at the moment is roughly 228,000 miles away. I am just amazed at the technology available to take such a fantastic picture from such a distance. For this shot I used an Olympus micro four thirds DSLR and an Olympus 75 - 300 zoom lens. No fancy telescope.

I used an aperture setting as low as the lens would go and under exposed as far as the camera would let me. A tripod was used to keep the camera absolutely still.

The only work done after taking the shot was to crop the large amount of black sky.

Got that warm fuzzy feeling of a job well done :-)
