I may have missed a few blog posts over the last few days for the Ultimate Blog Challenge so I'll need to do 3 a day to catch up.

To be fair, I've been a little busy with family and my exhibition at Kelham Island. Family are all settled back to normal , exhibition is ongoing. The picture above is one of two very large canvasses I did specifically for the show.

It's called Nebula and measures 6ft x 4ft. I have several paintings in the exhibition on a space theme. I really enjoy doing them as they give me the chance to use different techniques. For instance, in this one, I apply the background colours with an atomiser to give that gentle gradation from one colour to another.

As a Scientist ( I studied Maths and Chemistry at University) I am always fascinated by astronomy so it was great to be able to combine my interests.
