Jubilee Jamboree

I like to do something new for each show I do and the Fayre I attended at the weekend was no exception. I had a gorgeous photo of a kingfisher I'd been meaning to paint from for some time and this was the result. I was a little last minute as I only finished it on Thursday, framed it the next day and it took pride of place as part of my exhibits for Saturday and Sunday.
The Fayre at Bryngwyn in Powys, Mid Wales was at a beautiful country house with delightful gardens. It was a well laid out show and despite the awful windy weather on the first day, there was quite a crowd.
On the Sunday however the forecast was grim with rain expected all day. It didn't rain quite all day but there were few visitors and they were out in wellies and waterproofs.
Trying to keep everything safe and dry caused some difficulties on the stand so it didn't look it's it's best. I think I much prefer indoor events where I am more in control.
It was lovely chatting to visitors who stopped by and great to have a look round the restored gardens. It's definitely a wonderful place to visit in this stunningly beautiful part of Wales.
